Merry Christmas to all, and as we know, Jesus is the reason for the season, but more importantly, He is the Way!
No sugarcoat chat:
I know that around the Christmas season, people will put up highlight pics of doing this, getting that, going there, and giving this.
There is nothing wrong with this (heart posture-dependent), but for those who may compare, know that truth is not in a picture some choose to share.
Let’s take this pic as an example. I will speak for myself. I love my family, and in this pic, everything looks like it meshes. Well, that's not always true. There are times when I wonder what the heck is going on; I get frustrated, feel lost, and can feel unloved. And that is only the view from one person in this pic; there are many more with their thoughts (true and false), feelings, and emotions.
I think many can feel this way, especially when we assume everything is going well with these people or them over there.
Do not compare, do not desire what you “think” others have. You don't know the behind-the-scenes that is riddled with blood, sweat, and tears, laughter, and love, aka, the truth.
Our identity, strength, growth, and clarity come from the Lord, not from fellow broken man or a selfish world, OR from the lies and assumptions we may digest.
I don't want to take away from the awesomeness of this season, but if the shoe fits, then get your mind on what matters and get out of the victim mentality. There is much more for you— look up 🙏🏻🔥.
Trust, and set your eyes on Christ; He will pave the way.
